Many
thanks to the Danville Jaycees for inviting us to take part in
their annual Spring carnival - Springfest. We had a wonderful
time, and raised hundreds of dollars in food and donations, as
well as raising awareness in the community of our efforts. Special
thanks to Monty Schroeder for all his hard work on the event,
and the massive radio promotion.
We'd
also like to thank all the wonderful bands that performed over
the weekend:
Steve Rodman & Friends -
acoustic versions of classic rock, folk and country favorites.
You haven't lived until you've heard Steve sing John Denver!
Doc
Ashton and the Root Canals
- Danville's hippest dentist brings the area's favorite jazz band
to the show. Doc and his band have performed at every Foodstock
concert event.
Lane
Baldwin & Deeper Blues
- Foodstock founder Lane debuts his new line-up of Deeper Blues.
Featuring local heavyweights Alan Wait (guitar/bass), Chris Taylor
(guitar), and Merle Stanford (drums), as well as special guest
Doc Ashton on saxaphone.
Tons
of Fun
- one of the area's most popular bands headlines with a two-hour
show.
Big
Creek Guitar Band
- acoustic/electric Classic Rock, Blues and good ol' Rock &
Roll.
The
totals are not yet finalized, but we'll report back on that as
soon as we can.
Again,
thank you Danville Jaycees! We deeply appreciate your support!
