Our Permit

A close-up of our brand new Food Service Permit. We're covered for every Foodstock event for the remainder of the year!

Monty shows off the permits

Danville Foodstock's new Director of Operations and Kitchen Manager Monty Schdroeder shows off the permit, which is framed with his own certification. This will be displayed at all future events.

Tilton Public Use Building

Our new home - The Village of Tilton Public Use Building. Many thanks to Mayor David Phillips for helping get us settled! We now have capacity to seat more than 200 diners at once, and a full commercial kitchen.

Matt Smith, manger of County Market North

Meet Matt Smith, store manager of the County Market (North) location adjacent to Village Mall. Matt is an avid supporter of our work, and has sponsored every Danville Foodstock event. In fact, last month, Matt was on vacation when Lane came to purchase food for the dinner. His staff took the situation well in hand, however, and pulled him away from the fun long enough to give authorization for our monthly assistance. We love Matt, and very much appreciate his dedication to our cause!

Monty, Lane and Matt

04-18-09 - Monty (left) and Lane (center) shop for April's dinner. We always make sure (well, almost always) to pay our respects for the Man Who Makes It Happen (Matt Smith, right). Lane will return the next day to pick up a dozen hams (sliced courtesy of the butchers) and a compaion dozen of pull-apart dinner roll cartwheels, baked with loving care by Rachel.

Perry and Bill

Perry (left) is our newest volunteer. He helps make sure everything is ready to go -
from mopping the floors to putting up the road signs. Bill (right) was our first delivery
volunteer. He usually brings his granddaughter Payton to help out.

Stan and Lane

This is Stan (left). Stan is the butcher who sliced up a dozen hams for the April Sunday dinner. We really appreciate that staff at County Market!

Rachel and Lane

This is Rachel (left). Rachel bakes the hundreds of rolls for each dinner. She always does them last thing on Saturday, so they'll be as fresh as possible when Lane picks them up early Sunday morning.

Our new kitchen team - L-R: Kathy, Monty, Laura, Lori, and Tom. Monty is thrilled and relieved that he now has so much help to get the meals prepared and served.

Monty and Lori serve up ham and beans with all the fixins.

Monty, Lori and Laura having fun in the kitchen.

Tommy keeps the applesauce chilled to perfection.

Bill waits for more dinners to deliver to seniors and handicapped who cannot attend in person. Bill has been with us since the very first dinner.

Carol is another member of our delivery team. She, too, has been with us since the first dinner.

Perry is our go-to man for many things. He's there early to mop floors and set up tables. During the dinner he helps serve and does whatever is needed to keep things rolling smoothly. Afterwards, he makes sure we leave the building in good condition.

Bret Buganski of WICD-15 interviews a guest at the fifth dinner.

By 12:30, a half hour after we began serving, every table was filled!
